From July 2023, we will open our headquarters in Chocó. There you will be able to visit us and learn about our Study Centre for Biodiversity Conservation and Scientific Tourism. You will be able to sail in the pacific ocean to see whales and dolphins, navigate transparent rivers, observe exotic birds, walk through the jungle, learn from the community and above all, RECONNECT WITH NATURE.

PROGRAMME:

July 12, 2018 at 5:00 pm: Opening event, Conference: “Diversity and Peace”
 
The conference invites to a reflection on the natural and social habitats that give rise to diversity in Colombia. Likewise, the reflection addresses dimensions and interactions in which species and spaces are linked and become sources of natural wealth and abundance. The photo exhibition presents a representative sample of Colombia’s biological and ethnic diversity. The theme of diversity will also be related to the current context of Colombia.
 
Speakers:
-Camilo Borrero, Professor, National University of Colombia.
-Juanita Olano, ornithologist schweizerische Vogelwarte
-Luis Vicuña, Researcher Institute of Geography, Univ. of Zürich
-María del Pilar Ramirez, Associated researcher, Center for Global Studies, University of Bern.
 
Place: Aula, RAA G 01, Universidad de Zurich, Rämistrasse 59, 8006 Zürich.
 
Interactive tour through the exhibition, Colombian appetizers and musical performance by Leonardo Ponce, Afro-Colombian artist.
